Samantha Keddle
AfBAA Manager

 

Sam Keddle has been involved in Aviation since 2016 where she was the office manager for CAASA (Commercial Aviation Association of SA).  She has been involved in African Aerospace and Defence (AAD) for 2016, 2018 and 2022. In 2022 she also ran all admin and logistics that was required for the AAD Expo and Air Show. Currently now is the Manager for AfBAA.

Sam Keddle is South African born, but also a British citizen. She lived in the UK for 7 years where she had her daughter Katie Rose.

Longmeadow Function Venue – Assistant GM – November 2015 – March 2017
Responsibilities: The full running of every function from the initial meeting through to the date of the event. All staff roster and making sure payments of suppliers were correct. Getting continuous bookings and making new bookings for the year. Running Sunday lunch, with small bookings through to bookings of 70-100. General running of the office and day to day meetings.

Responsibilities: Arrangement of conferences, exhibitions and meetings for British Government departments including the Home Office, Equality Human Rights Commission, Cabinet Office, Ministry of Justice, Security Industry Authority and HM Revenue & Customs. 

The Roebuck Pub Otley – MANAGER – September 2012 – April 2013
Responsibilities: Customer liaison, Function managing, Pub Sales Management, Data capturing, Opening and closing of the pub, Training of all F&B Staff, Implementing and staff awareness in regards to Health and Safety, Rota and holiday requests, Stock control

Britannia Hotel Leeds Bradford – F&B SUPERVISOR/ASSISTANT MANAGER/DUTY MANAGER – July 2011 – September 2012
Responsibilities: General day to day management of the Food & Beverage department within the hotel, including customer liaison, guest and other functions, staff training and development, health & safety, stock control and general administration. Deputised on behalf of the General Manager
during his absence from the hotel.

The White Bear Pub (Surrey, England) – BAR WORK – October 2009 – April 2010
Responsibilities: Assistance with general running of the bar, including customer liaison, bar work, data capturing and general administration.

The Russell Court Hotel (Bournemouth, England) – RECEPTIONIST April 2008 – October 2009
Responsibilities: General reception duties, including meet, greet and check in customers, management of on line accounts/bookings, liaison with companies for new business, customer liaison, marketing brochures, arranging wedding receptions, Christmas and new year events, and resolution of general problems within the hotel.

Responsibilities: Assistance with sales and PA functions as follows: Customer liaison, Personal assistant duties, Contacting clients regarding upgrades, setting up meeting and curtsey calls, Filing, Faxing, Diary management of the sales director and Service calls, Deliveries and logistics, Screening of calls, Travel arrangements, Typing documents

Big Concerts – MERCHANDISE MANAGER – 2000 – 2006
This was a part time position during my time at Bryanston High School and University of Johannesburg. I was ultimately responsible for the entire merchandising function at the various concerts, including suppliers, cash control, stock, administration and managing a staff complement of approximately 58 individuals at each concert.
