AfBAA's five years are marked by the Royal Aeronautical Society in an article written by Rady Fahmy.

Five years ago, the African Business Aviation Association was launched at the business aviation industry’s leading European event, the European Business Aviation Conference and Expo, EBACE. Joined by ten fellow founding members, the Founding Chairman Tarek Ragheb and myself, Chief Executive Officer, Rady Fahmy, announced the formation of an Association that would act as a pan-African voice to advocate the benefits of business aviation to the continent’s nations.

The Association’s vision is focused on establishing business aviation as an asset that is recognised, valued and supported by governments, their respective Civil Aviation Authorities, enterprises, entrepreneurs and business leaders across Africa, from north to south, and east to west. The Association uses a variety of mediums including advocacy, events, communications and networking relationships, to promote the understanding and benefits that the industry brings to the continent’s economic development and prosperity.
