Alan Peaford is Editor-in-Chief of Times Aerospace publications including African Aerospace and Arabian Aerospace magazines. He is also the chairman of Aerocomm Ltd, a UK-based media consultancy and support company specializing in aviation and aerospace. In this role he has been consultant editor for Flightglobal for more than two decades and was responsible for developing the Flight Daily News at the world’s major airshows and events such as NBAA, EBACE and NBAA. He is author of the Pocket Guide to Business Aircraft, now in its 10th edition, and is a regular aviation broadcaster with the BBC and Al Jazeera.
He led a management buyout of one of the PLC’s divisions which became the UK’s largest corporate communications agency with offices in New York, Dubai, Munich and Singapore as well across the regions in the UK. He sold that business in 2004 to focus on his love of aviation.He has won five Aerospace Journalist of the Year awards and in 2014 was given a lifetime achievement award at the annual event at the Royal Aeronautical Society in London.He is a private pilot. In January 2014 he was awarded with an MBE by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
